An adolescent medicine specialist, she is double board certified in Adolescent Medicine and Pediatrics, is licensed to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey, and holds a hospital affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Fridy graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College) in her hometown of Philadelphia. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was the recipient of the Resident Advocacy Award, followed by a three-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore – Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has worked in private practice in NYC focusing on adolescent and young adult medicine since she completed her training.
Drs. Fridy and Myszko are two of fewer than 750 Board Certified Adolescent Medicine physicians in the country.
Dr. Fridy has received a number of accolades throughout her career. She has been named to the New York Rising Stars in medicine list by The New York Times Magazine multiple years in a row. She is the Medical Liaison to the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, New York Chapter, as well as the immediate past-President of the New York Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. She is also an active member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Independent Doctors of New York.
Dr. Fridy lives in New York City with her husband, two children and pet Yorkie, so she understands first-hand the thrill of living in this exhilarating city, but is also keenly sensitive to the challenges posed by growing up, attending school, and working in its fast-paced environment. Dr. Fridy brings this understanding and sensitivity to Tribeca Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine. Most importantly, she is passionate about caring for her patients, which is why Dr. Fridy’s patients truly know what it feels like to say, “I love my doctor.”
Dr. Olga Myszko
A lifelong New Yorker, Dr. Myszko’s academic career began at Stuyvesant High School, where she graduated with honors and earned a full merit scholarship to the Macaulay Honors College at City University of New York-Hunter College. She graduated from Macaulay with magna cum laude honors, and earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She completed both a residency in Pediatrics and a three-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore-Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in recognition of her outstanding teaching of medical students. She has worked at Tribeca AYAM since completing her training. Dr. Myszko is board certified in Pediatrics and board-eligible in Adolescent Medicine.
In addition to her strong interest in medical education, Dr. Myszko has also completed training programs in health technology, design and innovation. Clinically, she has strong interests in the management of metabolic/nutrition/weight disorders and eating disorders, hormonal and menstrual disorders including polycystic ovary syndrome, and reproductive health, and she is certified to place long-acting reversible contraceptives (intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants). She has served on multiple committees nationally around adolescent health and is an active member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and the International Association for Eating Disorders.
As the daughter of immigrants and a born-and-raised New Yorker who has lived in four of the five boroughs (sorry, Staten Island!), Dr. Myszko is passionately dedicated to the care of NYC teens and young adults. She knows what it is to grow up in this world-class city and how its pressures can affect school, social circles, families, mental and physical well-being, and so much more. Having experienced first-hand the toll a chronic health condition can take on a teen, and having cared for many more chronically-ill patients throughout her training, Dr. Myszko has a particular interest in empowering all of her patients to become active participants and advocates in their health, and she partners with them to achieve their best outcomes.
